Mission

The purpose of this role is to support the Sales & Marketing function by delivering world-class communications to key stakeholders, successfully positioning the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer while also showcasing our thought leadership and the innovative solutions we offer to support the success of our existing and potential clients. The person should be able to pro-actively position specific content and thought leadership with targeted global publications, using a wide network of contacts. The person in this role will also drive the internal communications within the function and Sales & Marketing updates to our 30,000 colleagues, helping build our customer-centric culture.

Working hand-in-hand with the Sales & Marketing team, including our industry leads, as part of the Corporate Communications team, the Communications Manager will be a key contributor, enabling the company’s continued journey to a world-class customer-obsessed organisation through innovative employee engagement programs, and positioning the Group as a human capital solutions leader through a sophisticated social media strategy, media relations, subject-matter expert positioning, and the generation of compelling thought leadership content. The successful candidate will be both strategically-oriented and a hands-on operator, with the leadership skills to succeed as an advisor and business partner to our Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and her leadership team, and the communications savvy and influencing skills to advance change in a global, matrixed communications organisation.


Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement a multi-stakeholder communications strategy to engage key audiences (internal, media, potential and existing customers) with our thought leadership, portfolio of solutions and customer experience topics across all internal and external channels with a particular emphasis on social media channels
  • In partnership with the internal communications team, create and deliver compelling employee engagement content to build awareness of the Sales & Marketing strategy of the Group and the customer-obsessed culture we want to continue to develop
  • Develop and drive the transformation communications and change management within the Sales & Marketing function as part of our Group transformation strategy, working in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Drive the design of the Sales & Marketing external communications strategy of the Group towards media and other external stakeholders, and lead its implementation in coordination with Group media relations
  • Connect with global account directors, internal subject matter experts and consultants to understand customer needs and trends
  • In partnership with the Thought Leadership and Content team, build a content calendar and develop ideas for research pieces and surveys in line with customer needs
  • Find and develop case studies, stories, and subject matter expert content in the form of articles, video scripts, testimonials and campaigns for social media channels, together with the Content team
  • Boost CSMO’s executive positioning on LinkedIn and support global sales industry leads to leverage their professional and social media networks optimally
  • Develop compelling content for internal channels, such the intranet, newsletters and our internal social channel platform, including bespoke educational and engaging content for the Sales & Marketing function
  • Position the CSMO with targeted global publications and at selective industry events
  • Help develop and manage crisis communications through client channels, working closely with internal and external communications

Minimum requirements

  • 7+ years in communications roles with a strong focus on external communications, in particular social media, in addition to crisis communications, and hands-on experience in internal communications and transformation (thought leadership experience a plus)
  • University degree in communications, PR, journalism or similarly relevant field
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills and ability to network and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Proven impact in developing and successfully executing a complex communications plan
  • Successful track recording in driving transformation/ change communications and engagement
  • Experience overseeing and developing multimedia and online communications, including webcasts, podcasts, social media, etc
  • Fluency in technology and digital tools
  • Native speaker-level proficiency in English (reading/ writing/ speaking) a requirement. French and/or German language skills a plus
  • Superior writing and editing skills in a variety of styles, for use across external and internal digital and print formats
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and as part of a cross-disciplinary, global team; adept at working closely with others over geographical distance
