About the role

The Senior Business Intelligence Consultant is responsible for supporting customer accounts by providing data driven insights to Pontoon program teams and customers. The Business Intelligence Consultant works with the Business Intelligence Advisors and Program Teams to derive meaning from the data and ‘tell the story’ using a combination of business knowledge, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and statistical analysis. Working with the BI Developers and BI Advisors, the BI Consultant will create relevant charts and reports for the analytics in PowerBI. This role has direct interface with internal customers and/or client stakeholders, presenting insights derived from the data to influence decisions based on these insights.

What you’ll be doing

Partners with BI Advisors/Consultant and program teams to promote the effective use of data. Supports QBRs and other opportunities to drive decisions within programs. Takes a proactive approach to identify trends, statistically significant changes, and other insights into program activity and performance. Leads changes management and adoption of reporting/analytics within program teams. Builds reports and charts to illustrate correlations, trends, forecasts, etc. Incorporates market insights where relevant. Provides written explanation of results/trends to Pontoon Executives and independently is proactive taking the initiative to modify presentation of results based on knowledge of business trends. This data may contain cross-client analytics, cross-client data, macro-economic data, and/or client data. Develops analytics in a manner that delivers high value to the program teams by recommending improvements and best practices. Presents insights to the business in a clear manner. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

About you

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, finance, economics, or related field required. Master’s in relevant field preferred but not required. Minimum three (3) years of analytics experience. Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or equivalent. Experience with VMS tools, such as Fieldglass or Beeline, and/or ATS tools such as BrassRing, PeopleFluent, Avature, Taleo, or SuccessFactors, strongly preferred but not required. Prior RPO / MSP / Staffing experience preferred but not required. Experience using data to drive change. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Understanding and use of statistical concepts. Skilled in data visualization / BI tools and report development R, Python, or knowledge of other relevant language. Ability to maintain and meet deadlines. Ability to present data and or tools to internal/external clients. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
